 A solvent dispersed group of rust preventative compounds that set up into a dust resistant, flexible, continuous, amber colored, protective film for corrosion prevention under indoor and out door conditions.
Some specific use include machinery and metal parts especially those in storage both indoors and outdoors. Marine equipment, undercoating, storage of tools, etc, around outdoor drilling operations, farms and road machinery, finished or fabricated castings, valves, stampings, housing, especially in unpacked equipment or parts in transit and during domestic or overseas shipment.
Saci MPP will adhere to metal surfaces with out checking, flaking, cracking or peeling even under extreme flexing or alternate expansion and contraction of metal due to temperature changes. Film will continue to adhere to metal surface even down to temperatures of 4 degrees C(40 degrees F). Coating sets up non-tacky and dust retardant. Saci MPP will not cause pitting or etching of steel, aluminum or magnesium, existing rust is penetrated thus preventing further deterioration. Product provides long term corrosion-protection.
Saci MPP is in compliance with requirements of MIL-C-16173D-Grade 4, coating is most effective if surface is first prepared by removing rust or dirt. However a protective coating will form over existing rust. Product will penetrate rust making it easier to remove later. Light applications can be made with one spraying over entire surface then allowing approximately 2 hours to set up hard. For more severe conditions a heavier application can be made by applying a second spray coat will then take approximately 5 minutes. Final setting to dust resistant coating will then take approximately 2 hours.
